Family-first terms.

These terms apply to the BrightMinutes private pilot. By setting up or using BrightMinutes, the participating parent or legal guardian agrees to these terms for themselves and authorizes the child’s supervised use.

Parent-managed service

BrightMinutes is offered to adults for use with children ages 5–8. A parent or guardian must configure the service, choose appropriate sessions, protect the parent PIN and supervise use as appropriate for the child and device.

Private pilot

The pilot is provided for evaluation and may change, pause or end. Features, activities and progress records may be modified as the product is tested. Families should use the export control if they want a copy of device-local progress.

Appropriate use

You may use BrightMinutes for personal, non-commercial family use. You may not interfere with the service, attempt unauthorized access, reverse engineer protected service components, submit malicious code, misuse another family’s account or use the product to collect information from children outside your care.

Activities and supervision

Some activities invite children to speak, draw, move around a room or use ordinary household materials. A parent is responsible for choosing a safe environment, deciding whether an activity is appropriate and providing supervision when needed. BrightMinutes is not childcare, a school, medical advice, therapy or a substitute for professional educational assessment.

Accounts and security

Optional parent accounts may be introduced during the pilot. Parents are responsible for account credentials and activity under their account. Notify the pilot operator promptly if you believe an account or device has been accessed without permission.

Subscriptions

The private pilot is currently free. If paid plans are introduced, the price, billing period, trial, renewal and cancellation terms will be shown before purchase. Store or payment-provider rules may also apply. BrightMinutes will not charge a family without an affirmative purchase step.

Ownership

BrightMinutes, its software, visual identity and original activity content are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. Families retain ownership of drawings or other creations made away from the app. The pilot does not upload or claim ownership of those creations.

Availability and warranties

The pilot is provided on an “as available” basis. BrightMinutes does not promise uninterrupted operation, permanent storage, a particular learning outcome or compatibility with every device. Nothing in these terms excludes rights that cannot legally be excluded.

Liability

To the extent permitted by applicable law, the pilot operator is not responsible for indirect or consequential losses arising from use of or inability to use the pilot. Any liability that cannot be excluded remains limited only to the extent allowed by law.

Ending use and changes

A family may stop using BrightMinutes at any time and clear its browser data. Access may be suspended for harmful or unlawful use. Material changes to these terms will be identified by a new update date.
